Scam Safety
Job scams target people who are looking for work abroad. Protect yourself:
- Never pay any agent or recruiter money in advance for a job, visa or medical test.
- Verify the employer and the job offer with the official source linked on the circular page before you apply.
- For overseas jobs, check with BMET and the Bangladesh embassy in the destination country.
- If anyone asks for payment through bKash, Nagad or a personal bank account for a job, it is a scam — report it.
- Be careful with offers that arrive only by WhatsApp or Facebook with no official posting behind them.
- Never share your passport copy, photos or one-time passwords (OTPs) with strangers.
If you lose money to a scam, report it to the platform where you found it and to your local police.
