| Eligibility | Doctoral degree (PhD) in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong research track record in applied or computational mathematics (e.g. applied algebraic geometry and topology, computational geometry/topology, differential equations, stochastics and mathematical modelling, mathematical statistics and data science, bioinformatics, combinatorics, data science, dynamical systems, information geometry, mathematical biology, mathematical machine learning, or mathematical and theoretical physics). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment, including with researchers from the life sciences, are required. Successful candidates will work closely with at least one research group at the Center for Systems Biology Dresden (CSBD). |
